Stay Healthy this Winter – Flu vaccine and coronavirus (COVID-19)

As you are probably aware, medical evidence is predicting more people are likely to get flu this winter as fewer people will have built up natural immunity to it during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you get flu and COVID-19 at the same time, research shows you are more likely to be seriously ill. Getting vaccinated against flu and COVID-19 will provide protection for you and those around you for both these serious illnesses.

To ensure we all stay healthy we believe the way forward is to introduce a Group Wide Flu Vaccination program to support our employees.

We have worked closely with our Group Occupational Health Provider Medigold, and partnered with Healthy Performance to deliver the Group Wide Flu Vaccination program.

The program is split into two categories
If you are 50 and over or have been identified as medically vulnerable, the Government has announced that you are eligible for a free flu vaccination from your GP or Pharmacies. Please search the NHS website for more details on how you can book your free vaccine.

If you are under 50 and not medically vulnerable, then you will receive an email from Healthy Performance with instructions on how to redeem your E-Voucher and receive a free flu jab, from over 4,000 pharmacies across the UK. Please check your SPAM email if you have not received communication from Healthy Performance.

With the winter months coming and the rising cases of COVID-19 we would encourage all employees to get vaccinated.
