Jonathan Reece
Hi, I’m Jonathan or John or Jon or JR (I’ve been called them all).
I’ve been with Epwin group for just over 6yrs now. Time literally has flown by! Initially I joined Swish BP as BDM to look after our National & Regional Housebuilder business. Recently I’ve taken up the role of Head of Commercial Sales for Epwin Window Systems and I’m excited by what I’ve seen so far. It will be a challenging but ultimately rewarding role and I look forward to working with the everyone. My background has been in construction products for over 30yrs and I’ve worked for some well-respected manufacturers in that time. My intention is to bring that experience and knowledge to WSD and to help take our commercial sector to the forefront of the industry.
What do you most enjoy about working at Epwin?
- The people. We have some very talented and knowledgeable people within our businesses.
Tell us three things we don’t know about you?
- I’m an avid golfer and have played since I was at school – current handicap 6.2 but working on getting it lower.
- I follow and support my local football team (Stoke City) and I’ve been fortunate enough to watch them at Wembley 4 times in the last 35 years and also travelled to Istanbul to watch them in a European game.
- I’m a bit of a travel bug and have visited quite a few countries. Still plenty on the list, however.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
- That’s easy, an airline pilot. My eyesight just wasn’t good enough.
What’s your best random fact or talent?
- Many moons ago I used to be able to do the splits. This was borne out of my Karate training. (I can also count to 10 in Japanese.)
What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join your team?
- Work hard, do what you say you’re going to do. And make it enjoyable, we spend a lot of time at work !
