When the employee comes back to work the manager needs to conduct a return to work interview using the notification emailed from Medigold.
Manager should investigate reasons why employee failed to follow the correct reporting procedure and if appropriate invite to disciplinary hearing.
If the employee’s reasons are feasible, a reminder of the policy and a note in your diary may be more appropriate.
Ensure that it is confirmed to the employee that you have reminded them to do this and that any repeat of this in the future will/may lead to further disciplinary action being taken according to our absence reporting procedure and dependent upon the circumstances.
