Annual Leave

Your holiday year runs from 1st January to 31st December and you will be entitled to the number of days as indicated in your contract of employment.

You will begin to accrue holiday on day one of employment and you will initially receive pro-rata entitlement if you join part way through the holiday year.

The organisation operates a Site / Branch / Office shutdown between Christmas and New Year. You will be required to use a set amount of your holiday entitlement for this period.  Your place of work will inform you how many days the business will be closed at the start of each year.

Please note in addition to these are the 8 public bank holidays of which you are entitled to.  If you work shifts or work part time your annual leave entitlement will be adjusted accordingly to take the bank holidays into consideration.

You will be required to submit a holiday request to your line manager who will approve your leave unless the days you request mean the organisation cannot operate.  If this is the case you will be informed that your holiday request has been declined.

You also can cancel your holidays, by informing your Line Manager.

All holidays must be used for the year as you will not be allowed to carry any remaining days over into the following year.
