Framexpress’ Alyson Westbrook to climb Kilimanjaro for Severn Hospice and Kelly’s Heroes
Alyson Westbrook, sales co-ordinator at longstanding Epwin customer, Framexpress, is attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Severn Hospice and Kelly’s Heroes.
The fundraiser is close to Alyson’s heart as both charities helped her partner before he passed away. Alyson explains : “To have a focus and personal purpose will not only help me with my grief over losing my partner, Gary, last year… helping others will also help me to heal. Severn Hospice provided Gary and I with comfort and dignity as well as emotional, social and spiritual support for over 6 weeks.”
At a colossal 5,895m, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and one of the largest volcanoes to ever break through the Earth’s crust. From 12-24 September, Alyson will attempt to climb to its summit, aiming to raise £4,000 for Severn Hospice and £2,500 for Kelly’s Heroes.
